In the hardest area of Ribera del Duero, at an altitude of more than 960 meters, a collection of wines is born in honor of all the brave women who have always dedicated their lives to the vineyard. Strong women and tenacious that history insists on relegating to the background, but without which it would have been impossible to raise the vineyard and develop this treasure.

Territory

The Páramo de Corcos is the most surprising and at the same time unknown region of Ribera. A plain of ten thousand hectares located between the Burgos towns of Fuentemolinos and Moradillo de Roa, in which only the most expert hands know how to work the land in extreme conditions throughout the year. El Páramo tells us about the sweat, fear and strength of women who cultivate a land where they find the most desired grape of the entire appellation.

Philosophy Bardos

When we created Clea we had the option of settling on the prestigious Golden Mile, as the large wineries, or complicate our lives and settle in the coldest, highest and most difficult area to work in the entire denomination. We chose the second option for a reason, if we wanted to make a wine brave we needed to surround ourselves with brave women. And the result has made it worthwhile. A collection that reflects the perfect balance between power and finesse, between complexity and intensity. Three fine, elegant and very fresh tannin wines.

The Clea Project is an initiative that was born in collaboration with Fademur, the Federation of Rural Women’s Associations, with the aim of supporting different female entrepreneurship projects in rural areas. For this reason, each year, a percentage of the sale of our wines will be used to finance the most interesting rural project and innovative of all the participants. A boost so that each year’s winner can turn her project into reality. Click on the images to see some of the initiatives of this edition.

If you also want to register, you can do so on the Fademur website until next October 30.
